Where a dog's mind comes to life.

We started with one question: what does a happy dog actually need? Not just walks. Not just food. A mind that's engaged, a calm spirit, and a home that feels like a sanctuary.

Pawslume didn't begin with a business plan. It began with a dog named Arlo, a three-year-old Border Collie mix who had everything a dog could want: long walks, a loving home, a family who adored him. And yet, something was missing.

Arlo was restless. He chewed things he shouldn't. He paced. He barked at nothing. His vet called it "boredom behaviour." His trainer called it "under-stimulation." We called it what it was: a curious, intelligent mind with nowhere to go.

That realisation changed everything.

The gap we couldn't ignore.

We started researching canine cognition, the science of how dogs think, learn, and process their world. What we found was both humbling and exciting. Dogs are not passive creatures waiting to be entertained. They are active problem-solvers, scent-driven explorers, and social learners who thrive when their minds are engaged with purpose.

We also found a gap. The enrichment tools that existed were either clinical and joyless or bright and plasticky, designed for a shelf in a pet shop, not a home that someone cares about. There was nothing that felt worthy of the dogs we were reading about, or the owners who loved them.

So we built Pawslume: a curated collection of enrichment tools grounded in canine behavioural science, chosen to be as beautiful in your home as they are meaningful for your dog. Every puzzle feeder, snuffle mat, and lick mat in our range is selected with one question in mind: does this genuinely enrich a dog's life?
